st martins church appeals for your support to
restore its tower

The beautiful and historic Grade ll listed church located in the village of Ashton upon Mersey is in desperate need of local community help.
Built in 1304 on the site of an old Saxon burial place, the church has undergone several major modifications. Destroyed by the storms of 1703, a new church was built in 1714 and significatly in 1887 a new tower added on behalf of local benefactor Sir William Cunliffe Brooks.
