The Queen Is Dead

"Urmston Chess Club stalwart Bert Thomas & new kid on the block Garry O’Shiel, both contrived to lose their Queens and their games, giving visitors East Cheshire the upper hand in this board match. Urmston rallied with a win in game 3, but it was to no avail as game 4 was lost albeit to a strong Cheadle Player. The Urmston Capt. again proved himself to be the draw specialist in this league, but it was insufficient to rescue the tie. Final score Urmston 1.5 – 3.5 East Cheshire. Urmston remain rooted to the bottom of the table."
