Eccles 1st team were the recent visitors, as Urmston Chess Club looked for their first win of the season in all competitions. Early in the contest Urmston were in control as they secured victory on half of the boards to lead 3 – 0. New team member Jonathan Hill made a winning return to the club on board 5, putting the match beyond doubt.
Final Score : Urmston 5 Eccles 1al Score Chorlton 3.5 Urmston 2.5.
