Trafford MBC Traffords Top Tourism Awards
And the winners are...

Three Trafford venues have been crowned winners in three catagories at the Manchester Tourism Awards.

The awards which took place last Thursday at the Palace Hotel saw Brooklands Lodge take the Small Hotel/Bed & Breakfast of the Year award; The Trafford Centre took the Access for All catagory; and the Imperial War Museum North won the Large Visitor attraction catagory.

Trafford fielded nine entries across seven categories in the annual awards with all reaching the final round.

Judges praised Steve and Angela, owners and hosts at Brooklands Lodge, for their enthusiasm and personal service; the Trafford Centre for its understanding of the needs of guests across a range of different disabilities; and Imperial War Museum North as an attraction which continues to excel.

All three winners now go through to the regional heats where they will be up against competition from the Lake District, Cheshire and Liverpool.

Trafford’s Tourism Officer, Kay Harwood said: “Trafford are delighted that it’s tourism venues continue to participate in and excel at the Manchester Tourism awards and hope to see them now go all the way to the England for Excellence Final."
