Musical talent wanted for showcase event

Young musicians between the ages 13 – 19 are invited to take part in an event to celebrate their talents.

The 'Love of the Music' event is for young people and performed by young people.  It is being run by Trafford Council's Youth Offending Team and Gorse Hill Studio in partnership with Trafford Housing Trust as part of their commitment to creating positive activities for young people in Trafford.

The event hopes to have a wide spectrum of different styles and approaches to music on the night to help reflect and celebrate the wide range of music young people in Trafford listen to.

Those who are interested in taking part are invited to attend auditions on 9 and 16 July at Gorse Hill Studio’s on Cavendish Road, Stretford between 6pm and 9pm.

And, those who are successful will then be able to attend workshops to help integrate the different sounds and approaches to music, on 22 July and 12 August.  The workshops will then culminate in the music event on 15 August at Sale Waterside Arts Centre at 7pm.

For further information about the event or for an audition place contact Jamie Less on 07546 319131.
