Help shape future mental health services

Local people with an interest in positively influencing future developments in mental health and well-being are being urged to take part in a mental health review.  It focuses on the promotion of mental wellbeing in Trafford.

Trafford's Health and Wellbeing Select Committee, would like to hear from anyone - whether or not they have experienced mental health difficulties - to find out how local people get information about maintaining good mental health and whether they know where to get help.

There has already been a good response to the survey, but Councillors are especially keen to hear from men and people from ethnic minority groups, to make sure they have as complete a picture as possible before they prepare their report.

The confidential survey is available on the Council website at www.trafford.gov.uk/mentalhealth.  People have until Sunday, 10 January to make sure their views are considered.

Anyone wanting to find out more about the review can contact Victoria Moody on 0161 912 4617.  To find out more about the work of Overview and Scrutiny in Trafford, e-mail overview&scrutiny@trafford.gov.uk.
