Have your say on spending and adult social care at forums

Residents across Trafford are being given the chance to have their say on the Council's spending priorities and a new approach to adult social care at the next round of neighbourhood forums.

The discussion forum (7-8pm) will look at Putting People First (PPF) in Trafford. PPF is a radical new approach to Adult Social Services offering greater choice and control to the individual, delivering high quality and safe services to support people's well-being and dignity and providing increased control over costs to the Council. (There will be a short presentation followed by a question and answer session.) Trafford's widely acclaimed Innovation Fund project increased the range of social care services for adults to choose from and several of the organisations and individuals who impressed the judges will be at the open forums (6-7pm).

The Council is also consulting residents on the service priorities and budget for the coming year, people can find out more as part of the discussion forum.

There will also be the opportunity during the open forum to discuss any issues around Council services such as recycling, roads, planning, housing and street cleaning. Representatives from the police and housing associations will also be available.
