Seeking to create low carbon communities

Apply now to join the low carbon communities’ movement and your community can become a pioneer in the fight to combat climate change.

As part of an exciting new project, the Energy Saving Trust advice centre for Greater Manchester would like to identify two communities to work with in partnership to help local residents to reduce their carbon dioxide footprint and save money on their fuel bills.

If your community is selected for this project, we will provide you with a tailored package to help you and your neighbours to identify and implement practical energy saving measures. This will include giving you information and advice on ways to save energy, money and carbon dioxide emissions.

Would your community like to be involved?

For further information, please contact Shona Thomas at the Energy Saving Trust advice centre on 0800 512 012 or e-mail s.thomas2@manchester.gov.uk to request an Expression of interest form. Once you have completed this, we will let you know if you have been successful within 28 days.

Funded by the government, the Energy Saving Trust advice centre is here to provide you with free and impartial advice in Greater Manchester. We help people reduce their energy consumption through advice, information and support tailored to each individual’s home, offering solutions that you can put in place today.

We at the Energy Saving Trust advice centre for Greater Manchester are here to help and support communities in transforming advice on energy efficiency into action. We look forward to hearing from you.

Case studies of communities which are already part of the scheme are available, please contact Shona Thomas for more information.
